With a view to promote architectural research and provide a platform for diverse studies the Foundation has introduced since last year “Vastu-Shilpa Foundation Fellowship for Environmental Design Studies”. The Fellowship consisting of a certificate and a cash award of Rs. 25, 000.00 over eight months, is offered to professionals and students to undertake research in the areas of Environmental Design. This year’s Fellowships were awarded to Ms. Shirley Ballaney for the study of “Employment Structure of the City of Ahmedabad - A Spatial Analysis” and Mr. H.V. Srinivas for the study on “Architectural Grammar for Solar Passive Design in Tropics - Performance Studies and Simulation of Traditional Houses in Northern Karnataka”.
