PROJECT DETAILS PLAZA TOWER Client: DLF Universal Ltd. Gurgaon, Haryana Area: 60,000 sq.ft Completed 1998 Associate architect: Rajeev Trehan  Here we had the opportunity to develop an abstract and integrated tectonic vocabulary which is at once explicitly urban in its relationship to the city and highly self-reflexive of its nature : object. The building was designed as a manifestation of the image projected by the international corporate houses that are housed in it. To promote the corporate culture it boasts a health club on the eleventh floor with a rooftop cafeteria and swimming pool. The reflective glass and Alucobond cladding systems used for the skin of the building are detailed to break the monotony of expansive vertical surfaces. |
