DLF CENTRE Location, Delhi client, DLF Universal Ltd. Completed, 1991 A showcase building for the DLF conglomerate, DLF Centre at Delhi compares favourably with any corporate office building in the world. This building was designed in association with Architect Ranjit Sabikhi of Delhi. The 1.14 acre plot, adjacent to the historic Jantar Mantar and close to the colonnades of Connaught Place, earlier housed Narindra Place, DLF’s previous office building. It was demolished in 1988, and by 1991, the new building was up with ten floors clad in glass. The gridded concave facade of refective glass, framed in grey Iandian granite edged with black marble. The colour scheme of black white and grey, gives at once an elegant and modern look. |
