Initially the firm began with residential commissions but in the last 12 years has expanded to institutional and commercial work as well as interior designs. The partners have been on the architectural advisory boards of semi-government organizations such as EPCO and HUDCO and have also taught at the Delhi School of Planning & Architecture. The partners and associates had travelled extensively abroad and have a wide international exposure. The firm has won awards in all-India architectural competitions and several of its projects have been published in India's leading architectural magazines.
Other than the two senior architects of the firm, whose bio-datas are enclosed it has in its employment an additional 9 architects and 4 draughtsmen. A major work load is being handled on 100 Mhz Pentium computers on which most of the work is being carried out, backed by 2 plotters, one laser and a colour printer. Besides working on the interiors of their own work, the office has the distinction of being associated with reputed architectural firms, in particular M/s. Kanvinde, Rai and Chowdhury and M/s. Stein, Doshi and Bhalla. For Mr. Kanvinde's New M.P. Bhawan in Delhi, the firm designed and completed the interiors and prepared designs for his LBSNAA Library in Mussoorie. The firm has provided the space allocation interior layout for HUDCO's office, Libraries, Conference facilities and Auditorium for India Habitat Centre for an area of about 8000 Sq.m. for M/s. Stein Doshi and Bhalla. It may be added that the firm has also executed interiors in cities as far away as Hyderabad and Goa. |
